Hey everyone, I have just joined this group so wanted to say hello 👋

I'm Paul, Founder & CEO of League Leaders – we are a London based newly launched charity unleashing young people into sport by using creativity and youth co-creation, developing active citizens and leaders.

Through our work, young people engage in sport, build life and employability skills, develop and deliver real-world projects and create career opportunities.

We are excited to launch our interactive Impact Report today. The report demonstrates the impact that London Youth Games Foundation has made across our 5 strategic pillars, aligned to our beliefs.
Sport is a right for all, Sport improves physical health and mental well-being and sport is a key driver of social integration.

We are really proud of the work we have delivered over the last year which, has only been possible with your continued support.

I hope you are well! We have an exciting opportunity for young Londoners to develop themselves and make a positive impact to sport in London. Please see below. LYG33 Leadership Team 2024:

London Youth Games are delighted to announce we are opening applications for a new LYG33 Leadership Team for the 2024 season! LYG are looking for young people to lead a group of passionate 14–24-year-olds who represent their borough and be the voice of young people across London. They will influence the future of the London Youth Games and other key issues impacting young Londoners and sport.

In the past cohorts, the LYG33 group have had personalised tours of BBC Sport Studios, Wimbledon, met professional athletes, spoke on stage at LYG Finals Festival and delivered exciting projects tackling mental health, equal gender access in sport and the cost-of-living crisis.

For the 2024 season, there are three categories of roles available to apply for:

o Chairperson & Vice-Chair

o Leadership Team
- Marketing Lead
- Events & Experience Lead
- Workforce Lead
- Sports Lead (Inclusion)
- Sports Lead (Underrepresented)
- Sports Lead (Impact)

o Team Members (applications opening 16th October)

Youth Charter @ London Youth Games 2023

The Youth Charter Team were on hand to support the London Youth Games, which is one of the largest youth events in the UK and around the world, with tens of thousands of young people competing in 31 sports and 12 para-sports, from local borough games to a London Finals Festival at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The Youth Charter & London Youth Games Chair, Geoff Thompson, along with Youth Charter Ambassadors, Janice Argyle, Marcus Adam, Jordan Thompson and Frankie Thompson were on hand to present medals to the winners and runners-up of the Basketball, Volleyball, Netball, Table Tennis and Dance events.

Geoff also hosted VIPs and Dignitaries from the 33 London Boroughs introducing and discussing the values of the London Youth Games and the role of Sport, Art, Culture and Digital Activities in Engaging, Equipping and Empowering Young People for Life.
